Le prochain siècle de SLA: Laissez les bons temps rouler! (Entering SLA’s Next Century: Let the Good Times Roll! ) was the theme of this year’s Annual Conference & INFO-EXPO.

Yes, there were some fun times, at many of the open houses, receptions and the always-fun IT Dance party (there were many masked creatures out that night) .  However, there were many more learning opportunities for attendees to participate in.   We hope that everyone found at least one bit of information to take back and use daily in their professional or personal lives.

For all those great sessions and speakers, I want to thank the 2010 Conference Advisory Council and Unit Planners. They have been working on the programming of this conference since January 2009. Many long hours and dedication went into their work, so please join me is saying ‘Thank You’ to them!

I especially want to thank the Conference Advisory Council:

Chair--James E. Manasco

Council Members:
Pam Casey
Stacey Greenwell
David Martin
Nancy Minter
Ann Sweeney
Anne Caputo

Exhibitor Liaison: Kathy Granger

Contributed Papers: Chris Mulready

Those who attended will soon receive the conference survey from J.H. Goldsmith of Exhibit Surveys.  We rely on your feedback to help us make future conferences even more beneficial to you.   You can always send comments to events@sla.org

If you were a speaker at SLA 2010, thank you! We appreciate your service to our association.  We hope you will allow us to post your handouts or presentation.  Please e-mail them to marketing@sla.org.  Please be sure to include the title and date of your presentation.

Many of you want to see photos of the conference, and SLA will be sending out the link to the photos, once we receive it from our photographer.  However, we have many talented photographers in our association, and they have posted their photos on Flickr.

For those who joined virtually, thank you for participating!  We hope that you too received valuable information and really felt a part of SLA 2010.  You will be receiving a survey shortly as well, directly from me.  You should also receive the link to the archived sessions within the next week.

Thank you for making this a great conference!  I look forward to seeing even more of you in Philadelphia next year!
